Meet Shad Coats: Your Neighbor and Local Expert

Hi, I'm Shad Coats.

I'm not just the name on the truck. Chances are, when you call Coats Mechanical, you'll see me out there on the job with my team, working sites across Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, Greater Austin, and out into the Hill Country.

I've spent over 20 years in the industry working on commercial and residential HVAC systems. In that time, I've fixed just about every kind of comfort problem you can imagine, trained up a lot of great technicians, and learned that the best HVAC work isn't really about the equipment. It's about the people you're doing it for.


Why I Started Coats Mechanical

When I started this company, I had one goal. Build something homeowners and businesses could actually trust... fair pricing, honest work, and someone who picks up the phone and stands behind what they say. I wanted Coats Mechanical to be the kind of company I'd want showing up at my own house. No games, no upsells you don't need, just good work and straight talk.

That reputation matters to me, maybe more than anything else in this business. I'm not just running a company here in the Hill Country. I'm raising my family here too. My name is on every truck, every invoice, and every job we do, and I take that seriously.


More Than the Job Site

Outside of work, you'll probably find me on the ice. I've played hockey for years, and there's something about that game, the speed, the teamwork, the grind, that keeps me sharp in everything else I do.

I also spent a few seasons coaching my son's little league team. Watching a group of kids figure out how to work together and show up for each other, win or lose... it taught me a lot about leadership, patience, and what it really means to be part of a team. I bring that same mindset to Coats Mechanical every day.
